About the Author
Tanya Hodge, MS, RN, CNS, CCRN, CNRN, is a cardiovascular clinical nurse specialist, certified critical care nurse, and certified neuroscience registered nurse. She worked clinically in a variety of cardiac-related settings, including cardiac telemetry, transplant/metabolic clinical nursing, cardiology intensive care nursing, and cardiovascular research at University of California–Davis Medical Center. She was a cardio vascular CNS at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, California, between 2007 and 2013. Since 2013, she has worked as nurse manager of the Cardiac Interventional Unit and Progressive Care Unit and, most recently, the Medical/Surgical/Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Mercy General. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.

I AM A NEW SURGICAL NURSE ..EVEN THOUGH I AM 58 YRS OLD -AND BEEN A NURSE FOR SOME TIME. AM NEW IN SURGERY AND THIS BOOK EXPLAINS SO MUCH FOR ME, AND BRINGS IT TO LIGHT. WHEN I GO BACK TO WORK I WILL HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT THEY ALL ARE TALKING ABOUT AND I WONT FEEL LIKE A DUNCE....
This book covers it all and there is a lot to know about cardiac surgery!! Any cardiac or critical care nurse would benefit from this packed-full-of-info book!

After continuing to review this product t is a fairly nice broad overview for cardiac nurses. Not exactly what I was looking for die to dealing with mostly surgical procedures in my unit. Still I feel it necessari to at least change my review to 3 stars
