This is an incredibly thorough book on detoxifying. I'm most impressed that the author includes reconstruction -- most books/resources about detoxing leave out this critical step. That alone sets this book above the rest. Whether you follow the cleanses in this book or just do a raw food cleanse or even a series of colonic irrigations, you still need to re-introduce good bacteria, you need to calm any inflammation, and allow your clean guts to "heal."For those who want to know the how and what of your digestive health, and how it's all interrelated with your entire body, check out Dr Walker's "Colon Health" from the seventies -- it's available here at Amazon. Dr Walker lived to be over one hundred and twenty, and was in optimal health all his life.The author of this book does give appropriate and necessary warnings. If you are weak and/or elderly, some of these cleanses may give you flu-like symptoms (common with any cleanse), weakness, and other issues. Having watched my aunt go through cleanses decades ago, I understand the need to be careful, not overdo, and (from my own experience) have someone around in case you do get light-headed or otherwise have symptoms from your cleanse. My aunt followed through with hers all her life and lived to be almost ninety.I'm just amazed at the excellent information in this book. The author even has a solid knowledge of what supplements and other resources you'll need -- and having lived on the planet almost seventy years myself (and dancing professionally until fairly recently), I understand why he advises you to get what he suggests, and how to balance it all out. (Plantain Oil alone cured my adult daughter's skin condition.)Read this book. No need to apply "poison" (lamasil and other toe fungus creams and sprays) on our body.I ordered a second book to give to my Mom but very unhappy with constant delay and change in shipment for over a month now. First book came on time, second one may never come!!!?I'm still giving the book 5 stars. A must have in every home.
Good information. However it is very close to the sonney liquid detox Directions that come in their herbal products almost a complete knockoff with product brand as the only difference. Limited gastric knowledge by author as statement included in book....... the undigested food was caused by not chewing properly, yet no reference to true gastric disorders or conditions very misleading. I would still recommend this book.

Its a good program for bowel cleansing!The reason I gave 4 stars is that the information is not presented in a very structured way. For example I can't figure out how to combine the smaller programs in a clear master schedule!However it is a good book to get the basics and start a strong cleansing program.
